Fitness
The Fitness Component of Fit+Fierce is specifically designed to instill not only a positive attitude towards fitness but also the crucial skill of habit-building among the girls. Through a series of age-appropriate exercises conducted in a non-judgmental and pressure-free environment, girls are guided towards developing healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

Structured sessions within Fit+Fierce provide the girls with the opportunity to learn proper exercise techniques, understand the importance of fitness principles, and grasp basic concepts of anatomy. These sessions are conducted in a supportive atmosphere that encourages exploration and growth without fear of judgment or external pressure.

Fit+Fierce ensures that each workout session incorporates a holistic approach, including warm-up and cool-down routines, comprehensive exercise instructions, and demonstrations, as well as the utilization of various exercise equipment. Monthly introductions to different workout tools further enhance the girls' skills and confidence in crafting enjoyable and challenging workouts.

Through active participation in the Fitness Component, girls not only gain proficiency in exercise techniques, reduce the risk of injury, and optimize physical development but also develop a positive attitude towards body image. They acquire the tools to make exercise a fun and integral part of their lives, laying the foundation for a lifetime of wellness and self-care.
Mindset
Fit+Fierce is designed exclusively for girls and emphasizes mental wellness through six foundational pillars.
Firstly, it fosters a strong Sense of Self, empowering the girls to embrace and cherish their identities. It then delves into the dynamics of Belonging, equipping girls with the tools to forge genuine connections and foster meaningful friendships.

Fit+Fierce encourages a sense of Hope & Enjoyment by inspiring girls to pursue their passions and maintain optimism about their futures. It also explores themes of Purpose & Meaning, guiding girls to recognize their unique roles and find joy in living out their purposes. Furthermore, it emphasizes the value of Contribution, instilling in the girls the importance of giving back to their communities and making a positive impact. Lastly, Fit+Fierce equips girls with Resiliency tools, enabling them to bounce back from setbacks and navigate life's challenges with strength and perseverance.

Through this program, girls will emerge with a deeper understanding of themselves, enhanced confidence in their individual paths, and a greater appreciation for their strengths and weaknesses. Nutrition
The Nutrition Component of Fit+Fierce is dedicated to emphasizing the significance of healthy eating habits and fostering a positive relationship with food among the girls. The overarching goal is to empower girls with the knowledge and skills to nourish their bodies effectively for optimal performance and cognitive function.

Structured discussions within this component cover various topics, including exploring healthy and nutritious food options, understanding how to fuel the body to enhance learning capacity, and breaking away from mundane snack and meal choices to sustain all-day energy levels.

Through engaging sessions, the girls are equipped with practical nutritional information that empowers them to make informed choices about their dietary habits. The program fosters the development of healthy attitudes and habits surrounding nutrition, emphasizing the importance of balanced eating patterns tailored to individual needs.

The Nutrition Component operates within a no-judgment zone, promoting the understanding that health comes in all shapes and sizes. In this supportive environment, no food is shamed, and the girls are encouraged to embrace a positive attitude towards their bodies and food choices. By creating a space free from judgement, Fit+Fierce creates an inclusive atmosphere where girls feel empowered to explore and adopt healthier eating habits without fear or stigma.
Mentorship
We take pride in our mentorship program, tailored for girls who have completed Fit+Fierce and are deemed exemplary role models for incoming girls. The process begins by informing junior high and high school-aged girls about the mentorship opportunity, inviting those interested to apply.

Selection criteria focus on choosing girls who have internalized Fit+Fierce's teachings and exhibit qualities conducive to serving as positive influences on younger peers. Once selected, mentors are matched with specific groups to guide throughout the year.
​
Monthly, mentors take on a leadership role, engaging with their assigned groups as front-of-the-room leaders. They share personal experiences, foster connections, and prioritize enjoyable interactions with the girls. At the end of the mentorship term, the girls receive a reference letter if desired.

The mentorship program yields significant benefits for both mentors and mentees. Mentors develop invaluable leadership skills and bolster their confidence while serving as role models. For the girls in Fit+Fierce, connecting with mentors provides additional support and guidance, enriching their experience and fostering personal growth. Through this mentorship initiative, Fit+Fierce cultivates a supportive community where girls can learn, grow, and thrive together.
Giving Back
Fit+Fierce not only focuses on the mental and physical well-being of the girls, but also places a strong emphasis on giving back to the community. Through various initiatives, the girls are encouraged to engage in acts of service, fostering a sense of empathy, compassion, and social responsibility. Whether it's volunteering at local food banks, shelters, organizing charity events, or participating in community clean-up efforts, Fit+Fierce instills the value of making a positive impact beyond oneself.
